Kari Nishek Promoted to Chief Operations Officer

With her forward-thinking mindset, strong project management skills, and strong work ethic, Kari Nishek of Ellendale, ND, has recently been promoted to Chief Operating Officer at DRN ReadiTech.

A lifelong resident of Ellendale, Kari has been part of the DRN ReadiTech family since 1998. She began her career as an accountant and, over the past 28 years, has grown through a wide range of roles, including Manager of Customer Service and the Technical Assistant Group (TAG), IS Team Manager, Business Intelligence Manager, and Project Manager. Her diverse experience has given her a deep understanding of the organization and the people who make it successful.

Kari holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and is certified as both a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Professional Business Analyst (PBA). Guided by her personal motto, “growth begins at the end of your comfort zone,” she brings a thoughtful and energetic approach to leadership. Thanks to her business insight, ReadiTech Managed Service reached $5 million in revenue within twelve years, and she recently helped lead the sales team to more than $3 million in new sales for 2025.

Project management is another area where Kari has made a lasting impact. She has successfully led numerous construction and renovation projects, including the Horace office building, office renovations in Ellendale, Oakes, Aberdeen, and Casselton, and the development of the Ellendale Daycare facility.

Known for her commitment to excellence, Kari values both her coworkers and her community. When asked what she enjoys most about working at DRN, she shared, “The proactive and visionary way DRN advances the business. DRN is a change leader!”

In her new role, Kari will oversee Marketing, the Service and Technical Assistance Team (STAT), Cybersecurity, Sales, and Facility Records teams. She is especially excited to move forward with implementing Microsoft Dynamics and shaping an ambitious marketing strategy.
